The Friends of Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre

Prince William County's Oldest Surviving Courthouse

This page was originally created by Frank Harrell for the Friends of Brentsville Courthouse. The Friends began operation in 1996 and were dissolved in 2007 after 10 years of preservation efforts. I am continuing to sponsor this site for the historical information contained on these pages.

As of December 2009, the Courthouse has been mostly restored, thanks to the efforts of groups like the Friends, the Prince William County Parks department and others.

Brentsville Courthouse is now managed by the Prince William County Parks department. The grounds are open for visitors. The buildings may be open for special events. Current information can be found on the Prince William County website. Search on "Brentsville Courthouse Historic Center".

The domain Brentsville.org was first registered on May 30, 2000 and will expire on May 30 of 2013. After that, I will continue to host these pages on my history site, nps-vip.net, however, there will be no further updates.
